This is the title of one of Wayne Jacobsen's books and understandably it struck a chord with many. As a former pastor his focus now is on relationship with God as opposed to the formal structures of organized religion. This really challenges "clergy and laity" alike (including pentecostal "clergy and laity"). In my recent interview with Wayne I was quite disarmed by the way I would ask general questions about churchy matters and get answers which always focussed on Jesus.
